Your first Recipe: an IF / THEN rule that runs for you

A Recipe is a rule you write yourself: if something happens, Uurly does what you said — tells you, asks you to confirm a trade, or acts on its own within your limits. Here is how to build your first one.

What a Recipe is

A Recipe has an If (one or more conditions) and a Then (one action). For example: if JUP drops 6% within 4 hours, then ask me to confirm a buy of $50 of JUP, protected by an 8% trailing stop. Uurly checks your Recipes on your own computer and only acts within the limits you set.

Build it step by step

01New recipe

Open Recipes (a tab in Portfolio mode) and click New recipe. Click the pencil to give it a name, for example “Buy JUP dips”.

02Pick a mode

At the top: Notify, Suggest or Auto. Start with Notify or Suggest — more below.

03Add a condition (If)

In Group 1, click Add condition and pick one: Price (price moves, price level, pool liquidity), Candles (price vs. average, breakout, volume spike, candles in a row, candle size), Indicators (RSI, MACD), Wallet & P/L, Time (every day, every week, every few hours) or Signals. Fill in every field, for example JUP · drops · 6% · within 4 hours.

Up to 4 conditions in a group must all be true; with Or another group (up to 3) any group can fire the Recipe.

04Choose what happens (Then)

Pick the action: Buy, Sell, Move stop, Protect, Pause new buys or Notify me. For example Buy · $50 · of JUP · on Solana.

05Protect a buy

For a buy, set the protection under Protect: a Trailing stop or Stop loss, and Take profit steps — for example a trailing stop of 8% and 25% sold at +20%.

06Read it in words

In words repeats the whole rule as a sentence, for example “Fires when JUP −6% in 4 h. Then it asks you to confirm: buy $50 JUP on Solana.” If it doesn't say what you meant, change the fields.

07Set the limits

Under Limits: At most so many times per day or week, a Budget per month or week for buys, Only in LIVE and DRY, LIVE only or DRY only, and Stop recipe if a number of stops hit in a row.

08Run in DRY first, then Save recipe

Leave Run in DRY first on to paper-trade the Recipe on real prices, then click Save recipe.

Uurly Recipes editor: an IF / THEN rule that buys $50 of JUP when it drops 6% within 4 hours, with a trailing stop and two take-profit steps, its limits and budget, and a dry-run on the last 30 days of prices
The Recipes editor: If, Then, Protect, the rule in words and its limits — with a replay of the rule on past prices next to it.

Next to the editor, Uurly replays the rule on recent prices and shows how often it would have fired. That is hindsight on real prices, not a prediction.

Notify, Suggest or Auto

ModeWhat happens when it fires
NotifyTells you. Nothing is bought or sold.
SuggestAsks you to confirm the trade each time, within 15 minutes; otherwise nothing happens.
AutoActs on its own, within your limits. The first time, Uurly asks you to confirm that you set the rules and to set a daily spend cap for all Recipes together.

Switch it on

A new Recipe is saved switched off. Switch it on with its switch in the list on the left; the tag at the top says whether it is on, and whether it runs live or dry. You can Export recipe to a file and bring one in with Import recipe file.

What a Recipe can't do

Write your first rule on paper

Build a Recipe in plain fields, read it back in words, replay it on past prices and let it run on paper before it ever touches your wallet.

FAQ

Do I need to know how to code?

No. A Recipe is built from fields you pick and fill in; Uurly shows the whole rule as a sentence under In words.

What is the difference between Notify, Suggest and Auto?

Notify only tells you. Suggest asks you to confirm each trade within 15 minutes. Auto trades on its own within your limits, after a one-time confirmation with a daily spend cap for all Recipes together.

Can a Recipe sell or move a stop?

Yes. Besides Buy, a Recipe can Sell part of a position, Move a stop (to break-even or a % versus entry), Protect a position, Pause new buys or just notify you.

Do Recipes run in the European Economic Area?

Yes. Your own Recipes, Auto included, run as you set them.

Can I try a Recipe without money?

Yes. Run in DRY first paper-trades the Recipe on real prices, and Only in can keep it on DRY for as long as you like.

Not investment advice. Crypto can go to zero; only trade money you can afford to lose. The coins and numbers in this guide are examples — you choose every one. Read the Risk Disclaimer.
