What a buy plan does
Instead of one buy at one price, a buy plan spreads your buy over time: for example $25 of a coin every 12 hours, four times. Every buy tops up one position for that coin, so you see one average price and one result. It can also buy at price steps you set — once each, when the price comes down to them.
Set up your plan
01Open Buy plans
Go to Positions. The Buy plans card sits above your open positions; click New DCA plan. The first time, Uurly explains what a plan is and asks you to tick I understand and set this plan myself.
02Pick the coin
On the left, pick one of Your positions to top up, or under Or another coin paste a contract address (or type btc) and choose the chain.
03Amount per buy
Fill in the amount in $, or switch to Native to pay in the chain's own coin. Each buy is at least $10.
04When
Choose Every (a number of hours or days) or Daily at a time. Under First buy, pick Now or Later.
05Stop after
Stop after a Number of buys or a Total budget. An End date is optional.
06Price steps (optional)
Click + Add a price step to buy extra at a lower price. A step buys once, when the price is at or below it at two price checks in a row.
07Mode, then Start plan
A new plan starts in DRY (paper): paper buys on real prices. Choose Live to buy from your wallet. Read the summary at the bottom of the window, then click Start plan.

Protect the position
Protection for the position is optional and covers the whole position for this coin:
- Stop-loss — a percentage below your average price.
- Trailing stop — a percentage below the highest price, once the price is that far above your average.
- Take-profit ladder — written as profit % : total % sold, for example
20:25,50:50sells 25% in total at +20% and 50% in total at +50%. - Max slippage on exits — leave it empty for 3% on large coins and 10% on others.
When the plan tops up a position that is already protected, the window shows what it keeps — a stop you set by hand stays — before you start.
While it runs
- The plan's card shows every buy, the next buy and what it has spent. Pause, Resume or Stop plan from the card; stopping a plan doesn't touch its position.
- A paper plan can be switched to live from its card.
- Buys only happen while Uurly is open. A buy missed while it was closed is never made on its own — Uurly asks whether to buy it now, at today's price.
What a buy plan can't do
- It doesn't prevent losses. Spreading your buys evens out the price you pay; the price can still fall after every buy.
- It only runs on your computer, while Uurly is open.
- Every buy pays the network. Very small buys pay relatively more in fees.
- Uurly carries out your plan — it doesn't pick coins or amounts for you.
Plan your first buys on paper
Set the amount, the schedule and the protection once; Uurly carries the plan out on your computer, with your wallet — paper first, live when you are ready.
A free version of Uurly is coming soon: every feature, with a 0.85% Uurly fee per swap. Pro removes the fee. Join the waitlist and we'll email you when it's out.
FAQ
What does DCA mean?
Dollar-cost averaging: buying a fixed amount at regular moments instead of all at once. You pay an average of the prices along the way. It spreads the timing; it doesn't make a coin go up.
Can I top up a coin I already hold?
Yes. Pick it under Your positions in the New DCA plan window. Every buy tops up that position, and the window shows which protection it keeps.
What happens to buys while Uurly is closed?
They are not made on their own. When you open Uurly again, it asks whether to buy the missed buys now, at today's price.
Do buy plans run in the European Economic Area?
Yes. Your buy plans are your own rules and run as you set them.
Can I stop a plan any time?
Yes — Pause or Stop plan on its card. The position it built stays as it is.
